How does a thermos work? The technical term for the mysterious vessel is a vacuum flask. The flask has a double-walled container inside. Air is removed from the space in between the walls, hence heat cannot easily escape and cold is likewise prolonged. Often these containers are made of food grade 304 stainless steel which generally contains small parts Chromium and Nickel. If the manufacturer “silvers” the inside it adds to the heating and cooling phenomenon by reflecting any energy back to the material. The thermos is an insulator, keeping heat out.  Hank and I were talking about the water bottle he takes to school and we needed to know how it works. Careful, your bottle can be contaminated by bacteria and may blow its lid from the build up of pressure.  By the way, if your flask fails, you must have dented it in a way that eliminated the sealed air layer.

It donned on me that physics could explain how an election can selectively be fraudulent. For example, how could Lyndsey Graham win when his buddy the big orange conspiracy theorist lost? I looked for this explanation in science but I must admit this will strictly be conjecture.  Constant bombardment by non-sense eventually broke the seal on the vacuum tube and created conspiracy theorists; rendering them unable to tell fact from fantasy. This vacuum failure is common as over 300 of those currently running for elected office in the mid terms deny the validity of only the Presidential election.  Makes sense, the elections in 2022 were accurate if the right candidate won, if they lost, bacteria must have crept into the system.  Like the thermos does not discriminate between hot and cold, the election system is not rigged to boost one candidate over another.

Please get out and vote with a wary eye to those who do not value the democracy that allows them to be so blatantly misguided.  I highly recommend you vote for Tom Arkoosh for Idaho Attorney General, the only qualified candidate. Interesting to check the Republican Party stalwarts who are supporting Arkoosh.

We spent last week end in Jackson, Wyoming.  Karen and I met a lot of people who like and admire Liz Cheney!  How could you not admire a person willing to stand up for our republic, in spite of the consequences.  Enjoy a picture of the mountains from the Jenny lake view point.

Enjoy the snow.   Mike
