This is a very unique year in the land of bugs, the Cicadas are coming. Brood XIX and Broad XIII are on different hatching cycles. One emerges every 17 years while the other on a thirteen year cycle. This year the two Broods will emerge in the same year. You can expect over 1 trillion of the wee creatures to hatch, mate, die and be prepared for the next cycle. Each one of them is about an inch long and if you placed all them end to end, it would be over 15 million miles of bugs. As they look for a mate the crescendo of their calls can reach decibels that are louder than a plane engine. The cicadas die in droves and create a very nasty odor, we are reminded that their carcasses are very good fertilizer.
The bugs are real, strange as it may seem. For the past few years we have been inundated by stories that are just as strange but not true. Conspiracy theories dominate the day. QAnon still has its followers, totally believable? A secret satanic cult of world leaders and celebrities with the goal of world domination. The Cabal controls the world; traffics children, sexual exploitation, while consuming human blood to extend their existence. Q prophesied that the forces of good, led by the Great Orange Wanker, would free the world. The final battle is the Storm. Really!!
It makes sense that those whip smart folks who believed Q would see the real purpose of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s courtship. Swift is thought to be part of an elaborate Pentagon Psychological Op. Swift and Travis are key assets in a secret plot to help President Biden. One former Republican Presidential candidate suggested that the Kansas City Chiefs reaching the Super Bowl again might be rigged—‘worth considering’. Not to be deterred by the fact that the Chiefs have been there four out of the last five years. Even more ludicrous, some suggest Swift is only after Kelce’s money. Guess her $1 billion Eros tour revenue got missed in the conspiracy consideration. Kelce’s support of Flu and Covid vaccines is also part of the elaborate deep fake. Time’s Woman of the Year is a threat.
Swift has encouraged people to vote. She has 272 million followers on social media. Her recent plea to register motivated 35,000 voters to sign up with the non partisan/non profit organization; vote.org. It is reported that 6 of every 10 American’s are fans with 8% at the raving fan level. Swift does not support far right ideals and has spoken out for our LGBTQ+ communities. The Orange guy and his minions are nervous about her in spite of his delusional suggestion that he is more popular than Taylor Swift. The man cannot sing or dance.
I have to give it to the Cabal who has totally convinced me there is a climate crisis. The picture above is my golf crew on Jan 31, here in Boise. You may note we are having a cold beer outside on a mid 60’s day. The news is reporting the atmospheric rivers creating havoc in California and Anchorage with the most snow ever in January. The entire country is seeing the impacts of climate change. Those lucky cicadas will hide out for the next decade and half—smart bugs.
