In early 17th Century Britain, a contemptible person was known as a “stinker.” I was reading some journalist reports that #47 has a very unpleasant odor. A bit of research does not narrow down the best description of the stench but most do include some mention that the smell is obscured by cologne. It stands to reason this affliction has resulted in the mean spirited person that has fully emerged in his second term. He is still not able to speak in complete sentences, often answers a different question than he was asked, and he avoids facts and truth at all cost. This antipathy for most everything could easily be attributed to deserved self loathing.
I enjoyed watching Canadian Premier Mark Carney put the Orange Wanker through the wringer at the Oval Office. Carney did not show up to capitulate or bend the knee, Canada is ‘not for sale and never will be.’ #47 chided him to ‘never say never’ and it only earned the reiteration that some things are not for sale, i.e. “Buckingham Palace, the White House…” I have become a fan of Carney but his statement about the White House not being for the sale, is no longer true. It appears anyone with lots of money can curry favor with this regime. Look at the mime coin, gold card, Bible sales, investments from the Middle East side by side with Trump’s company, a $2 billion loan, Russia’s favorable treatment, and the stock market manipulation he discussed with the beneficiaries in the Oval.
I talked about golf last week but saved this advice from the course for today. As we stood on the l6th tee we took a trip down memory lane. One of my playing partners said his friend routinely watches classic comedies when his stress levels rise. Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, The Princess Bride, Animal House, Slapshot, Buffy and the Vampire Slayer, Home Alone, So I married an Axe Murderer all made our list to take our minds off the current chaos if even for a few minutes.
Everyone had a favorite line from a movie and we were all laughing out loud. I think most of these films were made in the US but if not, the wanna be King feels we should tariff any movie made outside our country. If you recall in Young Frankenstein, the monster has a lusty encounter with the Dr.’s fiancé and a subsequent transfusion better endowed Wilder as well. Perhaps the Orange one should request a transfusion from the monster, Stormy reports a small “schwanzschtucker.” He is a stinker in so many ways.
These people we elected do not truly believe in independence for the women of our country. The right to work outside the home, make personal health decisions, and aspire to a fulfilling career should not be subjects for debate. It is Mother’s Day this Sunday and truly a holiday that should be celebrated. Happy Mother’s Day!!!
