Imagine a white bearded grandfather sitting in a rocking chair on his rickety porch in our deep South. There are no banjo’s involved, so don’t drift down stream on that thought. The caption reads, “have you ever listened to some folks for a minute and thought….Their cornbread ain’t done in the middle.” It is the same idea as “the elevator does not go all the way to the top floor”, he is a “brick short of a load”, a “half a bubble off plumb”, a “sandwich short of a picnic”, “a few fries short of a Happy Meal” and “The wheel is spinning, but the hamster is dead.” These are colorful, probably Orange, idioms that express concern about a person lacking mental sharpness. I will not repeat all the recent example’s from the Orange Wanker, but he truly has lost it.
Wag the Dog was a black comedy released in l997. Dustin Hoffman and Robert De Niro are caught up in a ‘spin doctoring’ to create a distraction from a Presidential sex scandal. The mis direction was a mythical war with Albania. I am not saying the playbook is unique to the Asshat we call President but no shocker we are demonizing drugs as Weapons of Mass Destruction to justify attacking boats in the Caribbean and now isolating Venezuela with a maritime blockade. Two days before the long awaited release of the Epstein files we push closer to a War. These facts seem familiar, Iraq and Vietnam bear striking similarities to the war on Venezuela.
I gotta say, under the current Regime logic, alcohol should be declared as a WMD. In the US excessive alcohol use is the leading preventable cause of death. It is estimated about l78,000 people per year die from alcohol related issues. Fentanyl is a primary driver of drug overdoes in our country. In 2023, 76,282 deaths which decreased to 48,422 in 2024–a significant reduction before the current Tariff related fentanyl policy.
You can count on a half-truth or lie from our current Administration… drug trafficking prevention is a smoke screen for other plans.
Mahatma Gandhi listed seven deadly sins: wealth without work, pleasure without conscience, knowledge without character, commerce without morality, science without humanity, worship without sacrifice, and politics without principle. Test those ideals against those we have elected and let them be non negotiable for your next vote.
I do spend some time listening to the Meidas Touch network and they replayed a CNN reporter describing the most recent poll numbers of the Orange Cockwomble. I am paraphrasing but he excitedly recounted that no one in modern times except perhaps Jacque Cousteau has been so far underwater as #47. He went on to recite negative numbers on every key issue—immigration, foreign policy, the economy…….
My brother Jeff turns 73 today. Jeff lives in Pocatello with his lovely spouse, Trish. Jeff worked in the water pits, fueling nuclear reactors for many years, does not glow in the dark and is a master mechanic. Like his brother’s, Jeff may be a “rung short of a full ladder” but you could not find a better person. Join me in wishing Jeffy a happy day.
No climate worries but check out this raging river in Spokane before the second Atmospheric river arrives this week end. Why would we need NOAA or FEMA? Those of our friends who voted for this Regime can surely explain the logic.
