It is a very good thing when we have enlightened friends who share our values. The hat is a gift, “We the People are the first three words of the U. S. Constitution, establishing that the government’s power comes from its citizens, not a monarch.” I must assume some American’s failed to recall the foundation of that Preamble, “declares that the people created the Constitution to form a better union, ensure justice, and secure liberty” when they were duped by the Orange Felon. The past few weeks have given us reasonable hope that the onslaught on our democracy has met its “maginot line”. The line was built by the French along their border to defer invasion. The German’s did find a way to invade France as they bypassed the line through an alternative route. Our country has avoided a strategic miscalculation by organizing the resistance across the entire country. We cannot rest on our laurels, the mid terms are critical and the Republican Party is certainly not above cheating our citizens out of their vote.
The hat reinforces the power of the people. We “have had enough” with the official signal of dire distress. The upside down American flag indicates extreme danger to life or property. “ The symbol is widely used as a form of political protest to signify a nation in crisis, express outrage, or show severe dissatisfaction with government policies, regardless of political affiliation. According to U. S. Flag Code, the hat uses the distress signal in the appropriate way. We saw this signal after the January 6th Capitol insurrection, the overturning of Roe versus Wade, and those of us pushing back on the would be fascist government. I plan to wear the hat with pride and a sense of duty to protect our hard won constitutional rights.
On February 28th we can witness a six planet alignment or “planet parade” in our western sky. Shortly after sunset; Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune will appear. Only Uranus and Neptune will require binoculars or a telescope, the other four will be visible to the naked eye. No clouds please and best viewing will be away from city light pollution. The spectacular alignment is rare, with the next opportunity in October of 2028. We may be in the Age of Aquarius, which will last 2150 years and is thought to have started in l957 or perhaps the 21st Century. The astrological era is to be characterized by a shift toward “ innovation, technology, humanitarianism, collaboration, and increased global consciousness.” I am quite sure the MAGA crowd has not listened to the lyrics of the Epic 5th Dimension song, “when the moon is in the seventh house..and Jupiter aligns with Mars..then peace will guide the planets…and love will steer the stars……” On November, 14th, this year, Jupiter will align with Mars in another six planet alignment. Maybe the planetary aura will snap the spell that drives our current authoritarian regime.
As to the success of the stock markets, I offer this insight, there was over $7.7 trillion dollars in cash sitting on the sidelines in our country in January. These funds are held in liquid form as they fear the uncertainty and chaos created by the Tariff King and his merry band of misguided sycophants. Our economy is still solid but being driven by perhaps irrational Ai investments. I suggest you keep some powder dry until some predictability returns to our country.
It is a mystery for the ages how any person could look up to or follow our amoral POTUS. I rarely get to quote Ice-T but it is funny and sadly true “I can’t believe people are comparing Trump to Satan. Yes, he is evil, but he’s certainly not as evil as Trump…”. (Ba da boom)
