During March madness, we often watched four games at once—sort of. The sound goes with one of the games the rest you are just viewing. This is a bit too much for me to process, give me one game, no sound is preferable. It is now apparent that “flooding the zone” with news makes most the facts get lost in the “noise”. This week seems even more calamitous. While the Orange Wanna be King is sham hosting a “free speech” event, void of any satire or humor, an armed person made a mad dash through the first line of defense and was quickly stopped and subdued. Fast forward and Trumpleshitstain is talking to 60 minutes. Norah O Donnell read the attackers manifesto and he responded, “you are horrible people”. POTUS stated a vitriolic denial of being a rapist and a pedophile, Norah responded, ‘do you think he was referring to you?’. I loved her response—in my mind—Kinda different, but I started humming “clouds in your coffee” indeed, “You’re so Vain” fits the profile of the OrangeDonald.
The real King was in D. C this week. He spoke to a joint session of Congress and he demonstrated how a true diplomat and humanitarian should conduct one’s self. Kimmel is on the outs again as he does his job. Hegseth is proving he is incompetent, dangerous, and so vain. Kash is finishing off his ill fated career. Comey is in trouble for his shell collection and Blanch is not interested in justice. The Iranian’s are trolling us while they hold the strait hostage. Netanyahu is not going to be pardoned. Putin is openly supporting Iran and tormenting the Orange Wanker. The Axis of Allies, minus us, is supporting Prime Minister Carney as the new leader for Democracy. The Cockwomble does not sleep at night, thinks he is Rambo, or John Glen, Dr. Kildare or the Messiah. Not to mention the Ballroom blitz and the Triumphal arch. Oh I forget about Epstein and the Survivors. Last but certainly not least, the fake polls. Impeach the Felon for the 3rd time is an often heard thought.
It is May Day. Among other things it is “a global day of action focusing on labor rights, solidarity, and international workers demonstrations.” This year the theme is “workers over billionaires” and is calling for economic disruption. Imagine for one day, none of us buying anything, going to work, attending school……Just the idea sends a powerful message that it is not “business as usual” or complacency about the future of our country. I challenge myself to not buy anything for a whole day!!
I have not mentioned the Blue moon hitting its zenith on Monday evening or the fact that there will be two full moons this month. It only makes sense as this is an important time in our family. Margie will turn 9 on May 4th. We always say she has the Star Wars birthday. Yesterday as I introduced her a friend of mine, she let me know she was tired of hearing that description. I will remember it is her day and not to be shared with Obie Wan. The next day Aunt Katie was born, Cinco de Mayo, has been embraced as her day for the past forty four years. Karen and I were multitasking, computers in hand and the television set playing. I could have sworn she said she was registering to vote. I responded that I did not think we needed to register each year. A bit later as she struggled with the website and she reiterated the need to register—the boat!! We had to laugh. So don’t make the mistake of not doing your research and prepare to Vote for the candidate who will protect our public schools, right to vote, women’s rights, pride flags… while leaving culture wars out of our political lives.
