I cannot go another week without mentioning the Orange Wanker, our soon to be President. Karen handed me a quote today that is the perfect advice for our soon to be sentenced POTUS. “It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.” There are numerous sources for this wisdom, it is attributed to Abraham Lincoln, Mark Twain, God, and Bible verse. In Romans 1:28, the word fool means “a person that’s wicked and has a reprobate mind.” Proverbs 21:23-31 includes,
“Watch your tongue and keep your mouth shut, and you will stay out of trouble. Mockers are proud and haughty; they act with boundless arrogance. …The wicked bluff their way through, but the virtuous think before they act…..” When asked by Bloomberg politics, what Bible versus’s are meaningful to him, the Orange man declined to give one.” Our Christian leader is acting a part in what I fear will be a great American tragedy.
To stay on theme, Fearless Leader suggests our country would consider taking control of Greenland, the Panama Canal, and making Canada our 51st State. I live in fear that the tri party system established by the founding fathers might not stop any of these travesties from occurring. Little wonder Putin is a role model for 47, heaven help Ukraine under the upcoming administration.. Rename the Gulf of Mexico-for what purpose. I enjoyed the response from the President of Mexico who showed a map from before America was a country that called most of the United States—Mexican America. It also seems a major challenge in Mexico combating the Cartel’s is the illegal gun traffic from the United States. Maybe they will build a wall and get us to pay for it. Living in a glass house, one should be cautious about throwing stones.
The current California fires are tragic. Biden and Harris are there providing comfort and Federal Government support. While Trump is ignoring the words in Proverbs about watching his tongue—posting on his losing Social media platform. You may remember the “rake the forest” fire solution posed during his first tirade aimed at Blue California, now he blames water shortage on fish and politics. It appears none of what he says in the post is accurate but that is a minor detail. You might expect the soon to be leader of the free world to express sorrow and support for the loss of life and property. It would seem addressing the problems and finding solutions would proceed any attempt to assign blame.
So what is missing from the character of the Wanker. The list would be very long so I am going to focus on empathy. If you lack empathy, “you struggle to understand other people’s feelings, problems, or life situations.” “Narcissistic personality disorder is characterized by self-absorption, grandiosity, exploitation of others and a lack of empathy.” Empathy would keep a person from saying that Haitian immigrants are “eating dogs and cats” or believing people crossing our border are rapists and criminals. Hateful words have consequences.
I have to agree with Trump on one point, America is in crisis. We had a servant leader in President Jimmy Carter whose love for his fellow human beings was remarkable. Carter was a person of the highest integrity. Carter knew no person is perfect but his heart was always in the right place.
