My anxiety level is off the charts this week. The Asshat that is our President has totally lost it and his ‘weave’ is no longer even vaguely understandable. I am asserting that an Orange Asshat is particularly “stupid and contemptible”.  We have now chosen up sides with Russia against the European nations and are delusional in our belief that the United States is entitled to command all of North and South America as its borders. We want to lower oil prices so we are going to harass, threaten and kill Venezuelan’s in an effort to overthrow their Government and control their vast oil reserves. Where the hell are the other two branches of Government as these atrocities are occurring right in front of our eyes.

So the palindrome that caught my attention and my train of thought is “dammit I’m Mad” which is the same spelled backwards. Yes, I am, mad as hell and I will be so thankful when I don’t have to take it any longer.

Karen suggested the message should be light hearted and positive. So expect that to the end of this week’s missive—a recent post suggested that “when Trump dies, there will be no need for him to Lie in State; as he has already lied in every State he’s been in…” proof that the truth can be humorous. Am I the only person who has noticed a sudden proliferation of political cartoons. I liked a recent trifecta that depicted a bloated #47 floating among the wreckage of his approval ratings, followed by the three wise men discussing tariffs on the imports with a masked ICE agent waiting to check their papers, and finally MAGA Mike Johnson with Xmas wishes that tell him “Take this job and shove it!  I did not see any cartoon’s of a “lame duck” but the Orange Asshat’s power is waning rapidly.  The Indiana Senate flipped him off on his gerrymandering order and he was forced to sign a bill to Release the Epstein Files. I  find all of this very encouraging and if it were not so sad, humorous.

I read with interest that the nature’s perpetual motion machine has been enhanced. The tumbleweed, was immortalized in song by the Sons of the Pioneers. The l930 song was featured in a Gene Autry film of the same name.  “See them tumbling down, pledging their love to the ground, lonely but free I’ll be found, drifting along with the tumbling tumbleweed….Cares of the past are behind……The Willie Nelson version is worth a listen. Engineers have studied how the slightest wind moves the plant due to the structure being more porous on the top than the bottom.  That knowledge inspired a robot that has the same features and is highly efficient. A small motor can be inserted to change its directions and even get it airborne.  They were a bit short on practical uses right now but it a gaggle of them would be a way to clear a mine field.

Please join me in wishing my brother Jack a happy 79th birthday.  Jack is one of five sons of Ed and Laura and is the proud father of 5 son’s of his own.  Jack devotes time to his community, church and his awesome family. Jack is most fortunate to have Katie to keep him mostly out of good trouble.

Lots of tumbleweeds in the foothills, enjoy my attempt at tumble art.  Please give our elected officials a piece of your mind for not protecting our constitution.   Mike
