Against my own better discretion, I am going to follow up on last week’s ski trip highlights. The people we encountered including the diverse skier entourage from around the country were enjoyable.  Well, you have to pick your spots, and the four guys in the condo hot tub might have spoiled the experience. We made small talk and no politics for sure.   I went to the Snowbasin ticket booth and was told I could save $60 per day if I went online. When I hesitated the woman suggested I open my phone to the website and she would walk me through the steps.  I tried to offer a tip for her or their staff fund—no sir.  I did need to apologize to the people waiting behind me.  We found the Eats of Eden diner, they have been in business for 32 years and specialize in comfort food, cold beer, and home made peanut brittle and toffee to go with the chocolate covered cinnamon bears.  One common topic among the locals was the economic stress created by the historic lack of snow.   Climate change is real, Snowbasin would typically have received over 500 inches of snow by the end of February, so far 105 inches have fallen.  We can hope for a March reprieve from the snout. (Snow drought)

I got back in time to learn that “anus tangerinus” had started a war with Iran.  The Senate Republican’s held true to form and voted against the War Powers resolution that would have required Trump to come to the Congress for endorsement of the special conflict “WAR”.  I see the House did the same by a narrow margin. I enjoyed an excellent post while in Utah that highlighted a picture of the sycophantic House Leader, Mike Johnson, as the poster child for the word—quockerwodger.  The word British and describes a fawning, servile, insincerely flattering, bootlicking, obsequious follower.  In the mid l800’s in England the image was a wooden puppet with limbs that moved when the strings were pulled.  The meaning later became a political metaphor for a person whose actions are controlled by a third party. The Orange Wanker and Steve Miller continue to pull the strings of the Cabinet and many of the MAGA in the house and Senate.

We can generally look to Abraham Lincoln for timeless, insightful and meaningful advice.  Lincoln emphasized the power of public opinion stating “public sentiment is everything. With public sentiment, nothing can fail; without it, nothing can succeed.”  It followed in his unique mind that “consequently he who molds public sentiment goes deeper than he who enacts statutes or pronounces decisions.”  Obvious to most of us, “anus tangarinus” does not attempt to build consensus or feel obligated to explain the logic that mis-guides his actions. American’s are not in support of ICE, War in Iran, Epstein Cover Up, Kristi Noem, Venezuelan incursion, muting the Press, tariffing our neighbors and Allies, the beyond crazy Faith Office, Planes from Qatar, selling bibles, watches, or golden shoes!  A talented person could wind all of the issues in a Fairy Tale nightmare.   Lets not let Lincoln down, get involved to shape the future, we the people do have the power.

Hats off to Senator Tom Tillis for his performance review of Kristi Noem.  To sum it up, America has benefitted from extraordinary leaders, Ms. Noem’s performance falls well short of our expectations. I can only hope, Kash Patel, Howard Lutnick, Pam Bondi, Scott Bessent, Tulsi Gabbard, and Steven Miller et al are kicked off the disastrous Clown Car we call the Regime.  Let’s stay focused on the upcoming mid term elections.

A couple of the lads on Wolf Creek Golf Course in Eden Utah. This is 5400 feet in elevation and you can see that golf was not out of the question. In the distance, Pine View  Reservoir and the clouds over Mount Ogden.  We need some snow.   Mike
